Clear advice, careful setup, ongoing dialogue, and technology that stays understandable and under your control.

Hi, I am Chris.

I help small businesses make better technology decisions, set up the systems they actually need, and improve the ones that have become frustrating or hard to manage.

My interest in technology started with Windows 3.1 and grew through years of learning how computers, networks, software, and business systems fit together. Before my time with Toshiba, I helped start and support a growing butcher shop, where I saw firsthand how closely the whole technology stack connects to daily operations. Working later as a Toshiba field technician reinforced that lesson across different clients, contracts, and wall-to-wall technology environments, while showing how much good setup and documentation matter. I have continued supporting the butcher shop since then, working across networks, computers, POS, scales, barcodes, product and pricing data, websites, online ordering, shipping workflows, accounts, reporting, and the procedures around them. A smooth operation depends less on one impressive tool than on all those pieces sharing reliable data and supporting the people who use them.

A clear, owner-controlled approach

The process starts with reviewing what you send and considering what may be needed. I then reach out by email, text, or phone to discuss the context, priorities, and what a good result looks like. From there we define the likely scope, responsibilities, pricing approach, and, when practical, an estimate for review. Questions and dialogue stay open throughout the work so the result continues to fit the need.

The principles behind the work

The principles behind the work

Make it understandable

Explain choices in plain language, reduce mystery and friction, and help people understand and use their systems more fully.

Reduce friction

Solve the underlying problem where practical, avoid questionable shortcuts and layers of temporary fixes, and connect the pieces into a system that works together.

Leave the client in control

At handoff, the client should own and control the finished business hardware, software, accounts, data, recovery access, and documentation.

Have a technology problem that keeps getting in the way?

Tell me what is happening and what a better result would look like.
